Optical components for modern alarm systems
In the energy and industrial sector, modern fault and danger alarm systems are an important part of process visualization. UNITRO-Fleischmann, one of the leading companies in this field, relies on light-transmitting components from MENTOR for its WA40 and WA40-E fault alarm systems. To implement a compact display field, UNITRO-Fleischmann uses customized versions of MENTOR’s versatile M-Cut light guide system behind the keypad. In this way, the individual fields are illuminated in a perfectly homogeneous way, and replacing the labels between light guide and keypad can be done simply and cost-effectively. Thus different language versions can be implemented quickly and flexibly, for example. Standard MENTOR products are used for the keys to enter commands. The backlit function keys are illuminated in a perfectly homogeneous way with the help of Series 2271 pushbutton caps.
Frontpanel light guide for radiation detection solution
Kromek Group plc is a leading developer of radiation detection solutions based on high performance sensor materials for applications within the medical, nuclear and security screening markets. The Kromek D3S has combined the latest detector technologies in a small design for multifunctional application. For the optical display of the D3S, Kromek uses the MENTOR frontpanel light guides of the 1293 series.
Rugged status display for crane control from HBC-radiomatic
HBC-radiomatic is the world's leading manufacturer of industrial radio controls for cranes, lifting equipment and machines. HBC radio controls manage reliability, efficiency and ease of use in lifting and handling equipment. With the radio control spectrum 1 and spectrum 2, HBC-radiomatic relies on optoelectronic components from the standard MENTOR range. These simply and clearly indicate power / battery status to the user via a rugged signal light.

Homogeneous illumination of ambulance control panel
Inomatic GmbH specialises in the development and manufacture of PCB-based control and system solutions for the automotive, automation and general industry sectors. For their ranges of operator panels used in ambulances, Inomatic has specified standard MENTOR light panels. These can be combined with different LED types (including RGB) and deliver perfect homogeneous illumination. This allows an infinite number of different statuses to be clearly, unambiguously and safely communicated to ambulance drivers, even when they are working under stressful conditions.

For the proven NHQ Ein-/Zweikanal HV-Modul iseg favors the analog-twist buttons from the MENTOR standard program. The precise potentiometer per channel is used for optimum voltage.
Aluminium knob for innovative E-Guitar sound pedal
Crushsound's unique new guitar effect pedal is called “Farmer’s Mill” and can surely “make any guitarist sound like Jimi Hendrix!” It has been developed in cooperation with the architects of Le 2 Workshop. Poland-based EXOR Modushop supplies and customises enclosures and accessories. For their new HAM microphone pre-processor, in order to complement the elegant design of their new product Exor have specified plastic Adjusting Knobs with integrated pointer dials from MENTOR’s standard range.
Plastic knob system
REMKO GmbH & Co. KG develops and manufactures air conditioners. The knob for temperature adjustment is a standard part from one of MENTOR’s plastic knob systems and has a collet fixing. The cap is custom-made by MENTOR to REMKO’s requirements.
Miniaturized flat light guides for status indications
The Italian company DIXELL belong to the american Emerson Climate Technologies Group-consolidation and is one of the leading providers of regulators for cold, climate, and kitchen technique. For the XWeb-Modul T620T-100W0 the possibilities of the customized light guide from MENTOR are in use. Based on a very flat light guide, which was especially developed for Dixell, states with a corresponding backlight are shown here.
Accent and function light for the new Kärcher water dispensers
Kärcher, the global market leader in cleaning appliances and systems, today offers much more than just high-pressure cleaners. With its new WPD 100, 200 and 600 water dispensers, the company has introduced innovative and environmentally-friendly beverage systems, opting to use individual lighting solutions from MENTOR. The light module in question, which is fitted with just 2 LEDs, was specially developed for Kärcher and is used not only for attractive accent lighting, but also to provide a visual indication of hot water.

M-Tube Flex within the Concept-Bike from BASF
Inspired from the bike from the year 1865, the year of the foundation of BASF, the company from Ludwigshafen, Germany designed, in cooperation with the design studio DING3000, a Concept-Bike in nowadays standards , which is almost exclusively made of modern plastic from BASF. The front and backlights that were build, were implemented by MENTOR and show distinctly the advantages of a flexible light guide system.

Clage – a leading German manufacturer of instantaneous water heaters based in Lüneburg offers a wide range of water heaters for diverse applications. Clage uses for its MCX small water heater series a light guide made by MENTOR. The light guide with special reflector coating developed specially for this particular water heater is only one millimetre thick and allows illuminated status display in confined spaces.
